Who can have the blue tick?

The blue tick was earlier reserved for verified accounts of famous personalities, celebrities, journalists, politicians, and other public figures. But the subscription option was made open to everybody who pays. It was rolled out last week to increase revenue as Musk was fighting hard to retain advertisers. Blue tick subscription option missing reported

Official statement

Measure to boost revenue

Seemingly worried, Musk sent a companywide email saying Twitter would not “survive the upcoming economic downturn” if it cannot boost subscription revenue to counterbalance dwindling advertising income. Reuters got to know from three people who saw the message.
